Minimum resolution and cropping

I just had an interesting thing happen that got me thinking...

A customer ordered a couple 4x6 prints that were pretty severe crops of the original picture. (nick is mbellot, order was 522873, images 1, 5 and 7). Image #5 in the order is a particularly small crop of the original...

Hindsight being what it is, I wish I had proof delay turned on so as not to have to ask this but...

Can a customer crop an image to something below the minimum resolution and actually get a print?

    No.

But if you or they are unhappy for any reason, just let us know, and we'll reprint for you, even from a new image that you upload and tell us to use. All part of the unconditional SmugMug Guarantee:

    Andy,

Thanks! I figured you guys would have put in something to prevent it, but when I saw this order I just had to ask...
