Hi Everyone,

I don't see many of these guys around here. They didn't hang around long once they saw me. It was a nice pair though hanging very close to each other.
They sure are beautiful, both the m/f have very nice colors and markings.

I was shooting hand held again from a good distance (300mm + 1.4). Now that our lakes are overflowing everything is from a long distance..:rofl

Nice colors and perfect angle for lighting. It almost looks like an oil painting.

That's a good hand held setup...I use it a lot.

Wood Ducks are extremely timid. So...I think you did very well.thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I really love #2, especially the way the female is looking at you.thumb.gifthumb

Very nice, Chris. A beautiful pair. Some of my wood duck shots are among my favourite images. My 300/2.8 plus 1.4xTC has become my 'walk around' combo. A bit heavy, but that combo produces, as does yours. WTG.

Excellent Chris! We now get a good amount of wood ducks at one of our local parks thanks to someone installing a bunch of nesting boxes for them.
They look like giant swallow boxes.
