Going to Scotland - What should I bring?
We just booked two and half weeks in Scotland starting at the end of July. Plan to take a lot of shots. I have a Nikon D50 with a 70-300 and the standard crappy lenses it comes with.
So far in my list I have ND and polizer filters and I am renting a Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF-S Zoom. Any other recommendations on what I should bring?
Thanks!!!

Yes, I'm planning to bring them along. But we're going to some remote sites and I don't expect too much internet access.

Many remote cafes, etc offer wifi access too. Just choose your mobile phone service provider carefully...

The Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D is such a great lens I would certainly have that for low light work and candid portraits.
If you want to do vista landscapes, and many parts of Scotland are suitable for broad vistas, the Nikon 12-24mm, f/4.0G ED-IF AF-S DX, or one of the third party equivalents, might be indicated.

I see the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AF at http://www.borrowlenses.com/product/nikon_standard/Nikkor_50mm_f1.4_AF
Will this work on my D50?

Thanks I'll check it out. I have an Iphone with Att. We're planning to spend a bit up time working up the Hebrides islands.
Yes, I believe it will work fine and yes, the f1.4 is a great lens.
