Search gallery descriptions?

Thought I had a temporary solution to the filenames not getting added to keywords problem. though it seems I'm the only one who thinks that's a problem.

I was just listing the names of dogs ( I photo a dogpark everyday) in the gallery description field. The search was finding those name - so , at least, people could know they were in the right gallery. Now, I notice that they don't show up. The original names in gallery description are found but new input isn't ?

Thing is the GALLERY ( march 2008) that the description seems searchable is a gallery with only one photo in it. Don't know what that has to do with it.
Put one of the names from the description of that gallery in my homepage search box, and that gallery comes up. It has no captions or keywords as far as I can tell

Any word on fixing the SEARCH ... as regards filenames added to keywords on upload ?
