Thanks, erick. This was taken at the upper Antelope Canyon. There's still a lower canyon that I haven't gone through yet (maybe next trip). It really is a beautiful place. If you ever get the opportunity, don't pass it up.

I hope my pics are as great as this one! I'm going to antelope canyon in may, among other places in the area, and I'm very excited. Thanks so much for sharing.
Canon 30D & REB XT (thinking of converting to infrared), Sigma 10-20mm, Tammy 17-50mm 2.8, Canon 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8 IS, Tokina 100mm 2.8 Macro, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 1.4 ext, and Sigma 4.5 fish eye along with a Bogen by Gitzo Tripod, Manfrotto Ball Head, MacBook PRO, several HOYA filters and a 2GB & 8GB San Disk, 160GB Sanho storage device (really cool btw)......wishing for a Canon 100-400mm. :wink

Be aware that you will need a guide for upper Antelope Canyon. You can find them all over downtown Page, Arizona. I ended up using a Navajo guide, Chief Tsosie (Phone: 928-645-5594, http://www.antelopeslotcanyon.com ) Just be mindful that the upper canyon will be crowded at that time of year, but the guides from competing companies do a good job of staggering the groups so that everyone has an equal chance to get their shots. You won't need a guide for the lower canyon...you can shoot there all day long if you'd like. Also, don't forget that Horseshoe Bend is only about 5 minutes south of Page (another excellent landmark to shoot).
Another thing about the canyons...a lot of dust can get stirred up due to the people moving about. Keep a rocket blower handy in your pocket to use if necessary in between shots. You don't want to wipe the lens...the very fine sand will definitely scratch the surface. As far as lenses go, I had a 17-40L parked on my 5D at all times, and this is one time that I found it necessary to use a UV filter (you really don't want to change lenses in this environment). Have fun and enjoy the trip...Antelope is an amazing place.

Fantastic shot and composition (good post-processing as well). Man, what an awesome landscape, it seems like everyone has been to this place (for good reason). I might have to join the club, but it's a LONG drive...

What did you use for software on the HDR part?
Did you use 3 shots? At what kind of stop seperation?
Thanks for the post

Very nice.
On a steep learning curve...
Nikon D100, Nikon 18-135mm, Tamron 5.6 200-400mm
Master Of Sushi Noms
Amateur CSS Dork
I used Photomatix for the HDR effect. Three bracketed shots at 2-stop separation (-2,0,+2).
