A little background story:
I am a man of routine. Every Sunday, I first go to church, then to the grocery store. And I go there the same time, go through the same isles, get the same things; have been doing that since I moved to the area 3 1/2 years ago.
And I always get the same cashier! This woman has been working for the company for 26 years, so she get to know the regulars. Well, about a month ago, I picked a copy of Popular Photography and as she was checking my items out, she said "are you a photographer?" and I responded that yes, I am a very rank amateur, but I am determined to someday to make it a part time career.
She responded that one of her relatives owned a photography store that went out of business in 1999; would I be interested in books from that store?
Of course! I want to devour as much information as I can!
So a month passed, her shift must have changed because I never saw her. Then today, she was there and presented me with the first box of books of photography lessons and techniques. THE FIRST BOX. Next week looks to be more.
As you can surmise, I am thrilled that someone just handed me a box of books that would take me a few years to purchase...adding up the msrp's on the books, they came to $509.95! WOW! Heres the rundown:
-The field guide to: photographing flowers (yes!)
