I stumbled upon this book yesterday. I was not familiar with Sebastian Copeland's name but these images are stunning, inspirational landscapes of a beautiful (and harsh) country. Politics aside, the photos are phenomenol.
I was interested to see that he is mostly known for his celebrity portraits, which he also does quite well. If the shots of Antarctica hadn't already stopped me in my tracks for 20 minutes, seeing the diversity of his subjects and talent in both areas definitely would have.
The slideshow on this site is just a sampling, but they're worth a look. The trailer also linked on the page has many more images. Wow. This guy gets a :bow from me. It makes me want to skiv off work and go shoot someplace beautiful!

I went there last February with Reichmann and crew.
Funny, it wasn't quite as dark as Mr. Copeland found it

Mr Copeland's photography is spectacular. We were there in January 2007; have to agree with CatOne that I didn't find it as dark either.
