These are for his portfolio. He is only 15 months old so it was hard to get him to cooperate but I think we got some good shots. C&C welcome as usual.

You have done an excellent job. FWIW, 15 YEAR olds are sometimes uncooperative as well!!!. You have some solid compositions mixed in with some really nice conversions. I also like your choices of DOF. Very nice.

I wonder ,though, if the setting is too "grown up" for a 15 month old. A small child on RR tracks makes me a bit nervous.

Either way, the photographs are first rate.

All very well done.....but I agree with the fact that the setting might be a tad tooooooo mature.....of course I try to keep most of my model shoots around playgrounds and I find that young ladies (8-30 yrs old) enjoy the playground a lot...unless I am doing just a bunch of head shots.....

At any rate very well executed!!thumb.gifthumbclap.gifclap

Oh yeah might want to clone out the dribbles if possible that doesn't look to good on his shirts:D

I already had me a hankerin' for one of them 85mm 1.8's. This just drove it home even further. Just the other day my 72 yr old mother said...it's almost your birthday....what do you have in mind? (She loves my photography and I send her sample shots all the time. She enjoys buying me equipment too cuz she knows I'll use it.) I told her I'd think about it. Well, I know what I'm gonna call and tell her tomorrow.

The setting (while I agree that it is a bit much for this little guy) is kewl. I love the location. Lotsa interesting angles and textures. Take a teen there, doesn't matter...male or female....and get some breathtaking portraits.

The dribbles....lol....yeah...always have the parents bring along a change of clothes or have the kiddo wear a bib until the you actually start the pitchure takin'. I hate his hair. That..."plaster the hair to the forehead" look is dreadful on anyone in my opinion, especially a child. But I rekkin....to each their own. He would have looked SO much cuter with his curly hair hanging naturally. Consider yourself lucky it was merely a drool problem tho lol. 3 weeks ago I was doing one of those nude mom and baby shoots. 6 week old baby Lily took a tinkle and a dump on my backdrop. One of the hazards of photographing a child without a diaper I spose. rolleyes1.gif

Number 6 would ROCK if u woulda captured him simply walking away from you, rather than turned to face to your left. Every shoot is full of...if only's. Heck, every shoot I do, once I get the cards uploaded and thumb thru the RAW files, I end up kickin myself in the arse for angles or perspectives I didn't think about at the time.

My fave shot is number 2. This was a great shoot Deadeye008. Tho I'm just a nobody, I think you did a wonderful job capturing not only his cuteness, but also that ornery twinkle in his eye.

Sorry for the rambling post. I'm enduring the joy of a kidney stone at the moment, and percocets make me yammer on like an idiot.
I use only Canon cameras and glass
