Guest Book Signatures Gone!

I did a search on this and wasn't able to find an answer to this particular question. I just went to my guestbook and every single one of my signatures are gone. :cry Is there a reason for this and is there a way to get them back? That's kind of a "marketing" thing when people comment so this is quite disheartening. What in the world would cause something like that to happen? I haven't done anything on my page in the way of customizing since I first got the site a year and a half ago so I don't know why they would be there one day and not the next. Kind of freaking here. :huh

Hey There -

I just checked your guestbook and there were three pages of signatures. Did they re-appear or did you previously have more than this?

AH! Whew. That skeered me. Why does retarded stuff like that happen to me and make me look like a total liar! I swear they were gone the first three times I looked on my site between 7am and 10am. I'm really not crazy I promise....

I went to my site this morning and it's doing it again. no siggy's in guestbook showing up. I've attached a screen shot of the message I got when I clicked on the cute little exclamation point next to the word error on the bottom left of my browser window. Don't know why it says something about 'full screen slideshow' because this was on my guestbook page. I opened this in IE, but it does the same thing in FF. I'm on my work computer and added the site to my safe sites too if that's supposed to help. What's the matter with my page? I told ya I'm not crazy.

Oh yeah...also, my slideshow won't load on my homepage either. Maybe it's all just taking a nap today?

Your avatar says you are a procrastinator. True that! We stopped supporting the javascript slideshow hack back in Nov 2007.

Thanks Andy. I posted some questions. Also got some help coming from the most wonderful member Barb. Maybe I'll have a slideshow soon. I'm going to print it after it's done and try my darndest to learn what the heck all that text means in case this happens again.

Now that i have found myself in the correct location for slideshow questions, thanks to Andy...I thought I'd come back here and see if anyone could help out with the guestbook signatures issue? The first time it happened and it made me look like a liar, I was on my home computer. Now I'm on my work computer and checked it in both IE and FF and still can't see them. That cute little triangle with the exclamation point in it comes up showing an error on the page. It's still the same error that I showed in my screenshot. Anyone know why this would happen?

What antivirus or other security software do you have running?

We have CA Security. I have that at home too and have no problems. I also added my site to the safe list. Hmmm. I wonder why I can't see them here.

I might be crazy but my guest book comments are missing in action again. I use FF for internet but just in case, I checked IE too. What's goin' on here? Also, if I go into my "art" gallery...then on Cake Baking and Decorating...no pictures show up there...nor in any other galleries? Ruh roh...I promise I didn't touch anything this time....

Hi Heather, any new security? All your images are showing fine for us, and your visitors. Try clearing your Firefox cache, completely, and reopening FF?

Well crapola! I just disabled my firewall...and my gallery showed up. I have no idea how to make it so it will always show up so I can leave my firewall on though. Thanks Andy!
