Spring - New England Style!

Yesterday my daughter, Boston Terrier and I went for a hike down the Nashua Rail Trail. This is an old railroad that runs between Ayer, MA and the NH State Line.
The trail is still covered with snow, but there was at least one sign of spring - I saw some water that was actually liquid:

    Nice shot, still reminds me how cold it is in parts :D

    Is that Ayer, Mass.? Just cruious was stationed at Ft. Devens, back (never mind :D) really got to love Hot turkey subs, oysters :eat and appreciate the cooooooollllllllllllldddddddddddddd :jawdrop

    Ben, I believe Ft. Devens was the victim of one of the base closing rounds a few years ago. We were at the NH end of the trail - we will be riding our bikes down to Ayer if that pesky snow ever melts.

    Marlof, there has not been any water in liquid form around here since December. Plenty in the form of snow and ice though.

    Here's another shot from yesterday, showing that spring is indeed arriving.
