Great! I like the sun in the background!

Every picture of Ireland makes me want to go back 100x more than the last time and I look at a lot of pictures from Ireland ... it's a vicious cycle.rolleyes1.gif

The rays of the sun along with the composition (IMHO) are fabulous! Just love this pic. Perhaps you should shoot some more landscapes and post for us?! mwink.gif

    Giants Causeway Ireland
Here is one from the North Coast the Giants Causeway, this was taken in middle of winter at about 6.30am on a very windy morning and even the sunrise didnt want to appear so had to make do with what nature provided.

The "sunrise" pic is amazing. Love the way the water looks, almost a good thing the sun didn't get through cause the longer exposure gives the waves a great effect. I also like the way the sun is behind the clouds, looks almost like lightning.

    Stunning B&W images 1 & 2, sharp, contrasty, dramatic!

What lenses did you use, particularly for 3?

    Thanks.

Neil all shoots taken using my Nikon D200 and Tokina 12-24mm.
I dont use any filters ie grads I shoot raw and bracket the shots and blend them in photoshop.

    Cheers for comments.

Thanks. Nice camera, and the lens gets good results. Happy with it?

Neil im extremley happy with the combo, the lens is solid metal not plastic and a constant f4, it does not extend either when zooming or rotate, like all wide lenses you run a risk of ca and flare if you aint careful, i mostly shot this lens at its sweet spot of f13.
    Cheers Gareth
