Sorting on Date Taken malfunctioning?

I just added a new gallery using a custom setting that I've used repeatedly that is supposed to sort on the Date Taken in Ascending order. After uploading, I was taken to the gallery and the order was reversed. I tried changing to Descending order and it displayed the pictures in descending order of dates taken and then tried changing back to ascending order of dates taken and it remained in descending order. The only way I could get the gallery to display as desired was to sort on filename (because my file names include dates taken in them).

Are there problems with the system right now?

Thanks for the response Doc and Semper Fi. I just realized that when I "upgraded" to Lightroom 1.4, suddenly the Export feature is messing up the Date Taken metadata upon export. I'm going to have to work this outside of Smugmug.

There was just a post that you're probably going to be interested in seeing - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=779416#post779416. Adobe just pulled lightroom 1.4 updates from their site. The blog entry linked from the post indicates a problem with EXIF.

Thanks Denise! I went over to Adobe's forums and found the same issue. I don't know why I didn't look at the exif data to make sure it wasn't an export issue but I suppose it didn't occur to me at first until Doc asked for a link to the gallery. Thanks for the great support guys. The good news is that I was able to "backdate" the version by just installing the previous patch over again and exported. It just meant uploading 200MB in pics all over again.
