Wow, what a fantastic improvement! No pixelation of the images; simple navigation and unpretentious presentation -- :clap:clap:clap:clap

It was a big effort on the part of the whole company, with the geeky stuff led by SmugSorcerers Shizam and {JT}.

We heard from you guys that you wanted an improvement - for the past forever I think, it's probably been one of the top-mentioned feature requests across all types of customers.

Got a few wrinkles to iron out but thanks for posting and making our day!

Thank you. :D We shipped it with an unforgiveable bug or two that we haven't been able to replicate and have been chasing, so it's nice to hear what people think of it who see it as we do on our test machines.

It was a long time coming because we didn't ship the first one we designed. Initially, our customers had said they wanted one like a competitor of ours, but when it got to testing they didn't like it because it had unsmooth transitions when the image sizes got bigger. They hadn't seen that on our competitor's site because their images were smaller.

It was quite the bummer to abandon the code we'd been writing for months and start anew, this time in Flash.

    Patrick -
It's a new flash slideshow, both the full screen show and the slideshow as selected from the style pulldown. Release notes at http://blogs.smugmug.com/release-notes/.

There is a Slideshow button when I am in a slideshow selected from the style pulldown. That slideshow button does not work unless I get out of the slideshow (from the style pulldown). Is this how it is supposed to work?
    I'm using IE6.
    Thanks

Thanks Luc, we really appreciate it. Again, Shizam & {JT} and the whole team put a ton of effort into this in the past 10 days, ironing out a few bugs and adding the improvements, disappearing thumbnails, and the captions thumb.gif

    Thanks for posting!
