While here in Santa Fe for work I got away for a few minutes to go shoot the Loretto Chapel and the Miraculous Staircase.

The staircase with almost no people in the picture

For about 20 seconds I had a clear shot of the front of the Chapel

One of the wonderful stained glass windows.

    Full story of the staircase
The story of the Miraculous Staircase can be found here:

I was there for about 40 minutes and there must have been 200 people that came in and out during that time frame. eek7.gif

These are beautiful images of this chapel. I have read of this before and I think I even saw a special on it once on the discovery channel. Your images do a nice job of capturing the warmth of this place.

    Very Nice! thumb.gif

#1 really needs a straighten. Well, unless that chapel is actually on a boat crossing the high seas eek7.gif

These are great, what an awesome building. I really like the compositions of the candles (both the close-up and wide-angle). The exposure is spot-on, good job! (Agree that the first probably needs to be straightened).

Excellent group of images. Each one is beautiful by itself and collectively they provide a nice visual tour of the location. Well done !!! clap.gif
