The Old Post Office

Hi All,

Was going through my pictures and ran across one I took in Oct of 2006.

This is the Old Post Office in Washington DC. I got a couple good shots of this building, but I really liked the angle on this pic. A little extreme, perhaps... but pretty cool.

So, I tossed it into PS, changed to B&W, did some lighting stuff, contrast stuff, balanced out some other stuff, and came up with this:

Sorry, no tech specs. :(

Hope you all enjoy!

C&C Welcomed and Wanted! :)

    Hi Ruin,

No photo showing up for me. Does your host allow hotlinking?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Ruin, Right/Control-click on the image at ImageShack to Copy the Image Location and put it between Image location goes here... and by using the insertimage.gif icon in the posting to thread dialog.

Then we can see it a tad larger!

    :D

Actually if you click the image (at least now) it loads it much larger in another window.

Yup, the one at ImageShack. That is why I thought it might be helpful to let the OP know how to get the same posted here!

    :)

    Ooops. Sorry.
Sorry All. The forums I'm a staffer at has image size restrictions. I'm rather used to thumbnailing. :)

Went ahead and just added the larger pic. Unfortunately ImageShack reduced the size way more than I had hoped, so it's rather small compared to it's 10.2mp original.

    Enjoy!

The shadowed facade seems a bit flat dynamic tone wise, wich is the same as the sky behind the clouds.

    Needs some livening.

    I like the composition otherwise.

    Thanks you two.

Don, I see what you mean, but I'm not sure how to correct it. Any suggestions?
