Canon released an update to Digital Photo Professional this weekend.

Some new features are

The copy stamp tool, rename tool, thumbnail display should be quicker and they added support for the EOS D60, EOS Kiss Digital and EOS DIGITAL REBEL 350D XT.

This should now work for 300D owners, good news for them. :thumb Hopefully a 300D owner can confirm this.

Finding it is a little bit of work. Canon includes plenty of hoop jumping, go here, pick your camera, then choose download library and choose applications and DPP should be an option. I had to turn the pop up blocker off on my browser to access the correct page.

Works fine for me (300D user). Didn't require an SN either, only that I already have installed some of the Canon software that came with my camera (I assume I probably had to enter a serial number then, can't remember now).

I think you have to have an installed copy of some Canon software, they then believe you own it and can upgrade it. No serial number required for me either.

Dayum, I just upgraded. And it sure does open the thumbnails faster - a lot faster!

I downloaded the latest and greatest DPP the other day. I think it's kewl that they added the clone stamp. That way you can get rid of the dust before converting the file instead of trying to shake the dust off the sensor like that other camera company.:D

I really do us DPP at times. I like it for some files. Now what I would like to see is someone add Shadow Recovery to conversion software.
