Overall, these are nice but they just seem to tight, I wish for a wider field of view to really appreciate the grandure of the place.

    I agree-

First one is great but the other two are too tight. Would like to see more of the place

This is a place I would love to visit. Great reflections. I especially like the #2 shot. It reminds me of the space ship in the original Star Wars opening scene.

You know it is a huge ship but you only get teased at first by only showing its bow letting your own imagination run away of what its enmority could actually be.thumb.gif

I like the 3rd one best.

1 and 2 needs more wideangle. the 2nd one need sto be cropped just a tad to get rid of that "hole" to the left. just my way of seeing it.

But the colors and exposure is just spot on!..What and amazing place!.

    good work!

    Thanks All
Thanks all, I see your points on th tightness of these shots. Gives me good reason to take a little shoot to reshoot it.

    Albert,

Everyone made comments about your composition but no one mentioned the amazing light! My eyes really did go :oogle when I saw this. The first two really do look surreal. I love the dramatic shape of the land emphasized by the sunlight. Excellent use of the light! thumb.gif

    Thanks Schmoo
Yeah the light seems to glow of this rock like glass. I camped im the rain for a day and a half waiting for the clouds to break and light up these formations. Thanks for you input. Albert

These are great! I was on an off road motorcycle ride in Idaho last August, and one of the riders told me I should visit Silver City ID and leslie gulch on my way home. I rode to Silver City(great ride) but did not have a map that showed Leslie gulch. it has been placed on my list of must see places. Thanks for sharing.thumb.gif

The light on the first two is amazing, kudos to you for shooting at the right time! I love the stillness of the water too. Damn, another place in the NW that I haven't visited yet but need to!
