For sale is a 3-month-old Canon 17-40mm f/4L lens, in excellent condition. From what I can tell with the pictures I've taken, this is a very sharp copy.

Comes with all original docs and accessories in original box: instructions, warranty card, lens pouch, lens hood, and both caps.

I'm only selling because I've found that the range/aperture doesn't really work for my style of shooting.

I'm asking for $575, shipped.

I prefer PayPal for payments, and so I'll pay the 3% PayPal fee myself.

i have the Canon 80-200 2.8 L that i don't use much, i'm looking for a good landscape lens and the 17-40 would be perfect. I would sell this lens for 725.00 so, you'd have to pay a little if you don't mind. let me know. Thanks, David

Hmm... well as nice as it would be to have that lens, I don't currently have any other one than the 17-40mm, so I'd be stuck with just 80-200mm.

No problem, i can understand that. What lenses are you looking for anyway? Are you wanting to stick with canon brand? Just wondering, because i have 2 Sigma lenses that i don't use anymore.

I don't really mind going with a 3rd party brand. I've mainly been looking at either the 18-50mm f/2.8, or the 17-35mm f/2.8-4 with a Canon 50mm.

EDIT: forgot to mention the sigma 24-70mm f/2.8.

I don't know about a straight trade between these, (since I can get a used Tamron 17-35--Demo condition--and a new 50mm f/1.8 all for 375 on Adorama.com) But if you happened to have a 430ex flash that you don't want (which I'm also trying to get) or $175, I'd go for it.
