you sure got the hang of those waterfalls
really like the last one with the coloured leaves!
The waterfalls I achieved with the help of another Dgrinner (Paul Iddon). He kindly advised me of one of the techniques used to achieve the motion blurring of the water.

Overall nice job . I'm envious, never have gotten any decent stream/waterfall photos :

Arctic,
I actually do have a closer shot of the last fall. Which eliminates the sky entirely.

Hi there Ian, I like your little Mushies, I loved the way Walt Disney portrayed them as little China men with large hats on in Fantasia, and I always have that image in my head when I look at Fungi.
The way the light has hit the fern hanging from the moss,
is really nice, it's plane, simply, yet pretty.
The waterfall shots have lost a lot of detail in the shadowed areas.
What a great place for a picnic, looks a very nice place to visit.
Thanks for sharing Ian ... Skippy

With regards to the Waterfalls. I would be extremely grateful if you could explain what I can do to remedy the faults with the waterfalls and the shadows.
Ingleton falls is a beautiful place and a very popular place for photographers. I plan to head back up there (t'is about 95 miles from me) when the weather starts to get a little warmer here as there is SO much more to be photographed.

For another beginner in love with nature shots, could you share the technique Paul shared with you?

Certainly.
I used the Aperture priority setting on my 400D and dialled the F-stop from F12 upto as far as F20 on one of the shots and then let the camera do the rest with regards to the shutter speed.
The shutter was mostly around one third to one half of a second. I also dropped the exposure compensation down a touch. Around -1/3 to -2/3EV.
Feel free to view the exif data for the shots in my Gallery (link in my sig)
