Here's a shot I am torn about. Half the people I showed it to said that it doesn't really do anything for them because they can't tell what it is about. The other half says "great shot". For me, it was capturing the moment (when the little girl tossed her head back) and the tell-tale story about the "legs only", which is what made this shot special to me.

What do you guys think?

You have to look closely to see the girl is probably laying back so her upper torso is hidden. From the first couple of looks I couldn't see that until I read your text and then reexamined it. If you have to explain it with text, its not totally communicated in the photo.

The other thing that is eerie about the photo is that the girls legs are as long as the lady next to here, so you assume that it would look as if her upper torso couldn't be hidden by laying back on that shallow of a seat. It almost seems like a illusion, that makes it kinda cool. I would have like to seen a wider shot.

I see the funny side of the body of the legs in the middle,
    fallen over.... kids :D

The shot doesn't do anything for me either... sorry.
There are only 3 pairs of legs in the shot, and one has the feet cut off.

Don't be put off by people saying it does nothing for them,
go shoot some more, have fun, that's what it's all about thumb.gif .. Skippy :D

Don't get me wrong I am not saying its a bad shot, especially considering you didn't pose and had to capture the moment.

Is just my feedback of really having to study the photo and then still not realizing what was going on without an explanation.

Thanks for the input guys. I've had to think some more about what intrigues mit about this shot and I guess it was the spur of the moment capture of a seemingly headless girl - those little 1/10 sec. moments frozen in time which only a camera can catch. So maybe it's more the "thrill of the hunt" which makes this picture valuable to me and not so much for an objective viewer.

And Bham's comments made me think of something else - monitor settings differ in brightness. On my display it seems easy to determine what's going on here (maybe just 'cause I know of course ;), but I can imagine that it's much harder to figure out if the picture shows somewhat darker.

Thanks again, all opinions are always appreciated, so don't be shy :D.

    I like it to :D

I see three sets of legs all wearing what I think are white shoes, but they all have on different colored stockings :D
