    Welcome...our first canberran (i think) I really like your photo but that horizon looks a tad wonky.

    I've never seen a balloon fest, and having so many large colorful things in there hovering is quite surreal (I'm sure until you get used to it).

    Thanks for the comments and welcomes!

    The Balloon festival is an annual event, mid Aprilish each year for 7-10 days. I usually attend one or two of the dawn launches but this will be the first year with the 30D.

    It is a beautiful time of the year in Canberra, we do really good Springs and Autumns (falls)!
