Barack Obama speaks in Portland, Oregon

Couple o' pics from the Obama visit to Portland yesterday. Hey-- gotta balance out the Clinton post! Besides-- neither Clinton nor McCain have visited the beaver state lately -- but I'd be happy to photograph them if they ever make it here. Anyway, this was Obama's second visit to Oregon in the last six months. And besides-- Obama used to be a smugmugger :wink a while back. These days, I suspect his web budget is a bit higher than your typical SMer though...







Oh yeah-- and Obama recieved New Mexico governor Bill Richardson's endorsement yesterday. I probably shouldn't have shot this photo with undiffused hotshoe strobe (lil' bit of red eye) though...

These are really good. I like the dof & bokah.
In #2, I cracked up at the shadow of the man that looks like he is shaking his fist in an angry manner. (I think it is the shadow of the guy with the p&s) Some of them are a bit cool to my taste. But you did a real good job. Looks like you had a front row seat!

Nah-- just a 2x tele extender on a 70-200 on a 1.3x crop body
