Hi you'll,

As you all should know 3/31 signals the end of Egret Fest bncry.gif . I just want to thank everyone for their fine participation and remind you that you only have 11 shooting months before Egret Fest 2006.

Here's a few Egret's I've run into the last few weeks

The regal Great Egret

the personable Snowy Egret

The Reddish Egret, the Egret with an attitude

and finally my favorite kind of egret shot, an Egret eating a Fish :lynnma :smile6 :smile6 :smile6 :smile6 :smile6

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Somehow I think I've lost control of this thingeek7.gif . Oh well, as we say in the swamp "A day without an Egret is like a day W/O the sun" .
Get out there and bring back some egret shots! I'm all shook up now.

If this keeps up, I am going to have to buy me a resident egret. The wild ones go to Florida and California.

Really, ours do leave. And I am suspecting that it is the summer season they are gone for and that they start leaving about yesterday. I even noticed that when I didn't have a camera anymore, to speak of.

Maybe the people in some of the other states want a chance at my egrets.

    Hey Jeff,

You now have a lot more time to post your egretsclap.gif I have a 1.4 Nikon TC and a 1.4 and 2.0 Sigma TCs for my Sigma 70-200. I almost never use the 2.0 TC.

Harry, this has to be one of my favorite shots of yours. Nice and sharp, and the colors are great, as is the exposure. Neat shot.

    I agree, fantastic.

I was wondering if Egret fest could be delayed a month next year as Egrets dont start returning to the north for a couple of weeks yet. Just a thought.

    Hey Rich,

Greyhound???headscratch.gif I never said Greyhound. That's a little upscale in light of the donations received so far. Not to worry though the pick-up has pillows in the back and you should be OK unless it rains. One little thing though, they kind of expect you to do some strawberry picking for 12 hours a day. You should reach egret country by June. :D
