Horse portrait
Went shooting on Friday and came across this fella in a field by the road. Tell me what you think.

I would have preferred to see the eye more clearly with less shadowing on the left side of teh subject.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
. Nicely composed and I love the blue sky and green pasture behind the horse.

Horses are actually a bit difficult get good portraits of, because they're curious about everything and move around just when you've got a good composition going.
This is perhaps more of a landscape with a horse in it, but it works. You've got the horsie and the place it lives in all wrapped up. Good work!

I was shooting in the late afternoon, to get the nice light. I think I agree that it would be nice if the horse's head was turned just a little bit more to capture some more light on the face but I dont mind it how it is.

Horsie looks a little worried though? Did you say smile?
Nice shot!
I would have captured a little more horse by moving my feet slightly to the right. That would have helped your light too.
