Since I couldn't afford a ticket to Africa, I decided to swing by the Norfolk Zoo to see some wildlife on a beautiful Saturday. Our zoo definitely doesn't compare to the Cincinnati, San Diego, or Tampa zoos but you have to make do with you got. Here are a few from today's outing. C&C welcomed....

Hi Travis.. Love the Meerkats and Lioness shots. I keep telling myself that I have to visit the Phoenix Zoo one of these days before it hits 120 degrees down there.

well done.clap.gif ..I really like the first 3 a lot. I think that's the first time I've seen meercats done something other than standing straght up.

Man, that ostrich needs a stylists or something. Do ostriches molt? I really like the rhino, meerkats and lioness shots. All of them are just laying around soaking up the sun. The rhino looks like it had been rolling in some mud.

Thanks y'all for the comments. I was really trying to salvage the day. All of the shots were taken around noon with harsh direct sunlight. The Norfolk zoo has progressed over the years but still has a long ways to go. And that poor ostrich...rolleyes1.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
