Here's a few more of Yosemite to keep you in the mood.. What do you think of these?

Since we all will have a short time together in Yosemite, what are the top things on your list that you would like to photograph while we are there.

Half Dome
Falls
El Capitan
Meadows
Etc..

Beautiful shots above. I wish I could make it out there too, but its the super busy season at work. :cry Perhaps next time, if a trip is not in May.

I have an idea for the site programmers here. Fit each DGrinner at Yosemite with a GPS transmitter, link them to a super-imposed map of the NP, and let all of us not going on that trip to track the group(s) in real time. If they could also transmit some smallish JPEG's to a Smugmug gallery in real-time, then all the better.

That would be geekishly awesome. My guess is you would need a sat link, since there is no reception up there for most providers. :cry

I don't know about everyone else but I am looking foward to a few days with NO Blackberries. They are evil.. I think my wife's thumbs were permanantly attached to hers. It's bad enough I'll have to take my cell phone with me. As far as I am concerned the D-grinners can wait a few days for the pics..:D

When discussing with your immediate superior, absolutely.

I have to laugh. Once a division controller came back with the story that
she dropped her pager in the toilet, retrieved it and figured the best way
to solve the problem would be to remove the battery and leave it in the
oven over night (gas pilot). Except for the moisture in the display, it
    seemed to work ok :D
