So this one really speaks to me for some reason. One thing I already see wrong with it is that you can see his eyes open and that bugs me. What do you all think? C+C welcome.

I like it! It doesn't bother me that his eyes are open. I love the way the hands are clasped together, and how the ring pops out. Great stuff, no nit-picks from me.
There's a thin line between genius and stupid.

Wrong? I like seeing the glimpse of his eye open. And your B&W conversion, too. Do you suppose they would like a little reduction of the facial spots?

yeah, you're right, I am planning on going back and redoing this photo and healing a bit of those spots. Thanks to both of you for your kind words.

Fixed, that's much better, it's the little things sometimes.

Well, I'm glad that the eyes open aren't a bad thing. Thanks to you all for your kind input. I'll post more as I get more done. This particular wedding was a resounding success. My keep rate is around 80 to 90% after having done some serious practicing and forming good habits about getting it right in the camera and worrying less about what happens in pshop.

Added a couple more instead of starting a new thread.

Yes, I do shoot a lot of color just that some of my fav's are b/w. I also process the same photo about 6 to 12 times depending on how many different ideas I get. I want to try to minimize the customer having to be stuck with my artistic opinion so I try to give options.

    #2 and 3 are stunning!

number 2 because they look young and passionate and number 3 because of the focussing/OOF area! thumb.gifthumb
