Filter system

Would like opinons on the Cokin filter system.
I would use it for beach scenes sunrise,sunset
Some friends said dont bother.
What do you think?

    I've got the P-system and a CP, redhancer, a grad gray and two softies for it.

    I think it's a good system. Has it's faults, but definate benefits as well. Being able to adjust the height of the grad gray is great for landscapes to mention one. Lots of options available and doesn't really cost that much.

    I think the easiest way to start for you might be to get a couple of different grad grays and just hold them against the lens at first. If you like what you see you can then get the filter holder. And more filters :D
