Hey y'all, here are a a couple of niece from today. She somehow possesses a magical music ability that seemed to have skipped 2 generations. The piano in the background belonged to her great-grandmother, a former concert pianist. Anyway, C&C welcomed. Have a great evening!

Very sweet Travis. I especially like the second, and I think it's because of the nice reflection on the violin. As a minor nit though, how much trouble would it have been to take the "fret" looking things off for the photo? They look like they're under the strings, so maybe more trouble than worth.

Thanks Ice. It probably wouldn't have been that difficult except I would have had to fight her to do it. Skyler is a bit territorial when it comes to her violin. :D

    Nice shot
    Travis,
I really like the second shot! Great color and I love the crop! I know what you mean about territorial about the violin. My younger son gets upset if I want to mess with his tape. I just wish he were more musically inclined.

Absolutely beautiful shots! I think they are both fantastic. Love the lighting and the colors.

The markers will probably be easy to remove in PP vs real life (the adhesive would surely lose its grip after removing/reattaching). I bet years from now she will look at them fondly as a reminder of where she started.

Wow, I may have finally done a people shot right! rolleyes1.gifTHere is a first time for everything. Here is one of her playing. I don't think it is as good as the others but it does show her concentration. Thanks again for the comments,

I think the last one is cute, but not near as nice as the others. Too much DOF. And now I can see that the "frets" aren't just rubber bands! I never had anything like those when I took violin FIFTY FREAKING YEARS AGO.
