Some shots of a small phalaenopsis orchid and a newly opened fuchsia bud in 2D and then 3-D cross-eye stereograms.

    How fab are these!!!

First off - love the orchid pics.

Second - how clever is this 3d stuff!! bowdown.gif

The lip just stood right out and it was as if I was holding the flower in my hand and wasn't on the screen at all.

You are amazing my friend. wings.gif

Have you written a tutorial on this at all anywhere??

Thanks Michelle for the kind comments.
Not exactly a tutorial but there is some info in #6 here http://www.flickr.com/groups/topic/66514/

You can do these 3-D cross-eye stereograms on any sort of shot not just macros- you just have to move the camera sideways more between the two shots the further the main subject is from the camera (sideways movement about 1/30th of the main subject distance)

I didn't know they worked cross-eyed until this tread! Kinda hard on the ol' orbs, but a fantastic experience now that I know how to view the 3D effect!
Fantastic shots, LV, as always. thumb.gifthumb.gif
