lightroom import size limit?

has anyone had this issue?:
when i try to import a pano into LR (tiff, and big, like 4-5 full frames wide)
i get "error file too large" and i cannot open in LR.
(my panos that are 3 full frames wide do import ok into LR)
(and BTW PS has no issues with opening any of these files)

is there a setting to allow the super wide files to import?

or is this simply a limit i cannot overcome?

thanks for any info!

For the current version I think the limit is 4K on any axis.

10,000 pixels on a side, is currently the maximum LR can work with.

There does not seem to be a work around until they update the application.

You could make a small proxy version in the same directory if all you are doing is using LR to catalog it. If you are hoping to process it further I think that may not be an option right at the moment.ne_nau.gif
