First Try at Flowers

Well I've certainly seen better but here goes :D

(Both were at 2.8 with a d40)

    Thanks Everyone! They were shot with the 50mm 1.8 which of course forced me to learn how to manually focus using the d40. Used a reflector on whatever the purple thing is (OK I know what it is, but I can't spell it :D) and processing was done with Picasa. Photoshop class starts next week, I can't wait!

    Gee thanks Skippy! Guess that shows what you can learn by looking through these forums, those are the only 2 flowers I've ever shot :D. And to think my wife hates our red dining room (background for #2)....

    Excellent POV's, and back grounds. I think that getting a good vs. great image of flowers has a lot to do with POV, and the background.
