Today was just one of those days where everything 'clicked' (pun intended :-)

two shots of a juvnile black crowned night heron perched in a tree here in Florida. I have many more shots of this and an adult from today but, just wanted to share a couple from my work today. Hope you enjoy them?
Feel free to view other images on my website and critique / comment
on other images as well.

Looks like this one's been framed :wink

I'm not great but, getting better
Hey, I'm not as good a nature photographer as many of you here in this forum... I'm still learning and, hoping that experience helps me to improve.
If there's anything you can think of that would help me improve on what I'm doing, please do not be shy, I'm never too old to learn. Just too old :D

    Hey Mark,

Sorry I missed this earlier. Both shots look good for exposure and sharpness. The second shot is much stronger because you can really see the eye.

The comp on the first shot could be better. You have the heron if the right of the frame looking to the right.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Right
You are right on the 2nd image being better comp. I think you'll find my other photo of this guy a MUCH better composition... I'll post link to it tomorrow when I finish processing the nearly 200 shots I took that day :-)

Night. Nice hearing from you, Harry. I've been following your posts and your photos keep getting better and better!

Well done. BCNHs always have such stunning eyes even as juveniles.
