I have to make a quick trip to Virginia next week and will need my monopod. It's 25" long when collapsed. Anyone know if I'll be able to carry it on a commercial flight? I'm not planning on checking luggage.

Cheers

not sure, tbh. What airline are you using? They usually have information like this on their website somewhere. It's up the crew to make a final call, though. You can never say "according to the rules, I can take it"... if it is deemed unsafe/a potential hazard, you are out of luck.
