I have a D70s and tried to use a ttl flash, the metz mz-4. It just doesn't work, even though the shoe is the nikon model. After some reading I found out the flash needed to be upgraded. What do they mean by this ? How do I know if it is upgraded ? Shouldn't it work in manual ?

Nevermind, I just found a site that explains what's going on. A new adapter is needed... weird huh ? Looks like they're selling dedicated nikon flashes with ttl that only work on film cameras, and you need to send in the hotshoe part for them to upgrade it.
