maybe could use a little noise reduction, but that is an outstanding capture Stan:ivar wings.gif

    Hi Dave

Thanks for your comments. I did not run this one through noise ninja but have had a quick look and what little noise there is, is mainly in the background. Actually running the filter, IMHO, ruins the shot.

    However I am no expert

Good capture Stan. thumb.gif The background is a tad noisy. I would have created a layer mask and applied NR t the background only. This way you get a clean BG and your subject doesn't lose detail from the NR.

What a pretty bird! It looks like a painted chickadee. Great capturethumb.gif

    Beautiful! thumb.gif

Forget the noise reduction...use the blur brush on the background...this image is easy enough to do it on the flat image (no layer) at 200% so you can get nice and close to the bird with ease.

BTW...I think if you do nothing would be fine too!

    Hi Guys

    thanks for your comments.

Harry - my version of noise ninja is stand alone so have to do seperately from photoshop. However have been able to run it and then paint out the noise reduction on the bird and here is the result - dont know if it is better.

Ric - had done this edit before I read your reply!!

Lovely capture Stan! I like the sharpness and colour you've got there.

I was just about post a few piccies of blue tits at a feeder. We can compare and contrast in a minute :D
