A cold hoverfly

This seemed appropriate- our central heating broke down on Sunday and I wasn't able to get it fixed until Tuesday morning when I took these pictures of a cold hoverfly trying to warm up in weak sun (air temp about 5'C).
The hoverfly happily climbed on my offered finger for some extra warmth

No reason to be scared of hoverflies- no sting and they don't bite

Goldenorfe - it was 9 shots taken some used for focus stacking.
