Wood Pigeon

A very common bird in the UK but for some reason not "shot" that often. I know the background is a bit cluttered and unfortunately the tail is behind the fence but WDYT

    The American variety (Sky Rat) is ubiquitus here, but still worth shooting, at times.

    Nice shot, except as already noted by yourself! Well done.

    Thanks Don. "sky rat" - what a name, I would imagine our equivalent is the feral pigeon, the sort that leave their S**t all over Trafalgar Square etc. The wood pigeon is slightly "nicer". Please correct me if I am wrong

    I do refer to what you appear to call the feral pigeon. Kinda like the Tree Rat to some (Squirrel). We have morning doves (New England) and the Common Pigeon (Sky Rat). Used to have the Carrier Pigeon, but now extinct.(AFAIK)
