Navy Owl
This one may be hard to "top."
U.S. airmen aboard the aircraft carrier USS Truman discovered a screech owl in the left-main wheel well of an F/A 18 Hornet during a pre-flight inspection, March 17, 2008. Nicknamed "Fod," short for foreign object debris, the bird was nursed back to health by an airman who is a licensed U.S. falconer, then transported to land and safely released. How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Great story. Wonder when he/she got into the wheel well? Neat ending.
