Excellent captures Phil. You handled the exposure on the osprey extremely well.
Try selecting the eyes with the lasso tool in your post work and applying some USM to them. That will get them to stand out a bit more.

Thanks Harry. It was a good 30 feet up in a dead snag on a bright sunny day. I had to keep changing position to keep the drifting clouds out of the frame. I did some work on the eyes in pp, but just brightness, contrast, and saturation. I applied sharpening during the conversion from RAW to JPG. Looking at the eyes now, I think you are correct, maybe a tad of USM.
