My wife had a dress rehersal for the upcoming 'Bye Bye Birdie' rendition (she's the choreographer)...so i thought i'd tag along and get my 1st experience shooting theatre.

I had my D40 strapped on my neck with a nikkor 135mm f3.5 manual focus lens and my D70s with the AF 50mm 1.8D :thumb

Please let me know what you think. :clap

I think you did really good, especially if this was your first time shooting theatre. Theatre is exciting to shoot because you don't have to direct the people, you just have to capture them, and because of the nature of the medium they are usually doing interesting, intense, or funny things.
You did a good job capturing all that and in the end I'm seeing that you compose the shots in a very pleasing way and not just trying to catch the action but also thinking about the shot in the sometimes short amount of time that you have to get the shot.
    Good job.
