I have heard that saying many times before, but now I think I really understand it.
In case you didn’t pick up on it… it’s been breezy here for a couple of weeks.
Here are a few from last night in a field between two construction dumpsters. MM
This guy was clamped on to this stem, mashing his stinger into it.

Seen pics of Australian bees roosting for the night like that but the stinger was not onvolved.

P.S. I know exactly what you mean about a hole in the wind--I live in Kansas, and rarely is there a non-windy day, just less windy--ha!

Thanks for the great comment. I have not been able to get out of work early enough to hunt for bee's but here a a couple from the last two nights at almost dark. MM
