First shieldbug for 2008

Spotted my first shieldbug of the year the other day. Apparently these turn from green to brown before hibernating and then turn green again in the Spring - this one is halfway through the process .

HOW MANY SPECIES ARE THERE? MY LAST SHOT OF ONE WAS DIFFERENT BODY SHAPE.

One like that, but lighter in color, flew into my teeth while I was at Chiriaco Summit, today. Nasty tasting creature! No, I didn't bite into it!
