WOW ! - some very powerful images !!! very well done... i couldn't pick a favorite, all are very well done ! the B7W treatment is nice and very fitting.
Ah, they bring me back to my youth, the smell of the tear gas, the
rat-a-tat of the policeman's nightstick on your head and kidneys.
Seriously, excellent images, outstanding comp and B&W conversion. Around 30-40 years ago Hollywood filmed their "serious" movies in B&W and filmed comedies, epics and musicals in color. They felt that color was too "garish" for a serious drama. Images like these kind of demonstrate that they might have been right.

I expecially like the shots of the police line and the first photo. they are so strong in B&W! I love the contrast between the Police ready for anything with gasmasks on and weapon in hand and the protesters, seemingly peaceful but standing strong.
Absolutely one of the most powerful sets of images I have viewed here in a long time!!!! I really like the images you chose, especially how the first image sets up the story so well, and the last emotional image leaves the viewer with something to think about. I just love the 2 images of that young lady....the tension in the shot of her standing in front of the officers is great! Your contrast-y B&W really add to the story. Excellent!!!!
