My brother and I went shooting a few weeks ago in a west Kansas City suburb (can't remember what it was called). We happilly stumbled on this abandoned factory. I was excited to give my new E-510 its first real day of work. Hope you enjoy them!

Very nice photos and doing them in BW was an extra boost to the feel of the subject you were photographing thumb.gif

I always like to see what catches ones eyes in a place like this. Someone else could go there and come out with a totally different set of photos.

Hmmm...while I was looking at them I was thinking I'd love to see some color versions. Old brick, rusty iron and mold offer lots of color possibilites. But I agree that there are some great shots here.

I know...I was thinking the same thing at first then as I continued to look at them I thought the sometimes we don't need the color to show off the rust, etc. With this series let the mind fill in what is left out.

As someone who works in the industrial construction field these images really caught my eye. One man's urban decay is another photographers delight! I agree that a mix of color and B&W might have been an interesting contrast, but your images are outstanding.

Thanks everyone! I really have a passion for B&W photography. When I shoot I usually shoot with color or B&W in mind. These shots had B&W in mind, and for me, they work well that way - fits me.
