I know you use a modified camera. Would using a R72 IR filter produce similar results?
Considering purchasing at the end of this month.

Yes, you can with a R72, you will have to allow for much longer shutter speeds due to the darkness of the Filter (Which you can't hard see through) so you might possibly have some blur of leaves/limbs. Usually, about 1sec shutter speed, @ F8 for starters. I would shoot in RAW so you can play around with your white balance, or you can try to preset your WB off of some nice green grass.
