After my last dull, technical thread on white balance tools, I thought I'd do something fun here. My daughter is some sort of High Moola-moola in the knitting blog community. Who knew??? Anyway, she's running some sort of on-line fund raiser and asked if I could produce some images for her. Here's the one they're using as a banner on the fund raiser website. These knitters are NUTS! They spend as much time mooning at photos of yarn (they call it "yarn porn") as photographers do reading about new gear. Fur me it was fun double checking my white balance techniques against all these different colors of yarn. Expodisk is da bomb.

One thing that the Web has made clear is that there are far more maniacs in the world than anyone would have ever imagined. Actually, I think it's rather fun.
Love the colors in this shot.
Cheers,

I couldn't help myself. I printed that shot out 18" wide. It blew me away. One of my better efforts.
