Very nice shot, Grumpy. thumb.gif I've always thought that the Bay Bridge gets far too little attention from photographers, so it was nice to see this.

OK Grumpy_One, I do not think I gave you my permission to shot on my Island:pissed

Notice that there are no Cars. That is because I closed the bridge down until all unathorized photographers leave my Island:giggle

    Too funny...
Was that from that cemet barrier thing? My wife was with me and I was given orders not to climb onto it. At my age it probably was a good idea. Great shot.
edit: p.s. I'm coming over on my next vist, so get the hot toddys ready ;)

hot toddys will be hot and ready:ivar

the no cars was just a gap where no cars were visible for a couple of seconds which gave me enough time to capture the bridge car-less. I think it was just because how late I took the shot combined with spring break. It is still the only time I have ever seen the bridge empty long enough to capture shot.

Your angle to the bridge suggests you were in the no parking/no stopping/no pedestrian area. I have always wanted to shoot this angle but never gathered enough nerve to do it.

Very nice capture that will stay uniqueclap.gif

Ya, kinda. We parked in the no parking zone in front of the USCG fence and walked down from there. We weren't alone, others kept parking and leaving the whole time we were there. Seems to be a popular spot. I will go back there to take the shot I wanted, this happens to not be it. I wanted some twilight, but an accident on the bridge fixed that for me. I'll let you know the next time I'm in town. Cheers
