The first picture with color just looks old and rundown. But the first picture like you posted it at first shows a long mysteriousness. It gives and idea that lets you ponder the wars that have been seen through that window and the power that shook the walls. Maybe im looking to deep but i love it!
Well, I have to say I prefer the second one in color. When someone made them smaller, I thought to myself, "I have never seen a more perfect photograph".
Not meaning I have not seen other perfect photographs, just not more perfect.
The bright red/orange at the top of the window distracts me in the first one. I don't see anything to do about it either, and it has its own following.:D
