I've always dreamt of a girl wrapped in white out in the field . Nice job on these Nik. Looks like you had a great time! Love the creativity.
David, thanks man!
To tell you the truth, we didn't plan on it like at all...
We were hoping to get the "around sunset" shots, in a couple of the outfits - "a party girl" and "a cowgirl". Originally it was supposed to be the final part of the shoot #1 last Saturday, but we got interrupted and rescheduled for this Saturday. So, everything is planned and confirmed, but the Mrs.Weather has its own plans. We arrived at the parking spot at 6:30 pm only to find out that instead of fairly typical clear blue sky and warm evening it's chilling 55F with the wind and low heavy clouds...
Luckily Vika turned out to be a good sport and we proceeded up hill to the shooting location.
We got there, I started setting up the lights. I always bring this piece of canvas on location with me, mostly to use it as a relatively clean surface for a model to change, to put the gear on, etc. Vika looked at it and said "well, I'm gonna use it for some warmth in the mean time". She wrapped herself into it - and that was it. I told her: "you look great into it, forget the "party girl", let's shoot it like that...", to which she happily agreed, since at least it kept her warm and protected from wind:-) The low clouds and the forming mist added to the scene.
As you can see we still got the cowgirl shots, but the first batch was a nice surprise for everybody. Turning foe into friend, so to speak :ivar
You tease!! You can't just throw up one picture with you in it.. I don't like previews!! jk haha.
I like #5 and #2. At first I didn't like the soft focus on the entire image, but I sort of see why you did it, to give it a mellow-foggy mood. I liked that.
However, I think you can bring out the warmer skin tones and shirt color on the ones by the fences. Try giving them an S curve on PS or just bump up the contrast a bit. It might really improve it.
Cool beans man! I'm about to post up a short little shoot I did, you best critique as well.

So, the cowgirl is your favorite, eh?
